(3) One-half inch diameter discs on this micrometer are designed to get those hard to reach measurements. Spindle and anvil discs are .015" thick at the edge, tapered to 1/16" at the center, making it ideal for measuring fins, lands, rib, cutting edges and other difficult to gage sections. (2) The thread micrometer is designed for rapid checking of screw threads. While this micrometer does not measure the exact diameter of a V-thread, it does indicate through comparison whether screw threads are being accurately cut or chased. (17) Depth Micrometer sets with interchangeable rods measure holes, grooves, shoulders, etc., up to 10" in depth. Rods are easily inserted and held by knurled rod cap.
